With regards to the defibrillator, every anaesthetist should know:

  • Where in their theatre complex it is kept
  • How it works
  • The energy values used at their Trust or current defibrillator algorithms, such as those provided by the Advanced Life Support Group and the Resuscitation Council (UK)
