Question: What are the risk factors for a bronchial intubation?

Answer: There are many risk factors including:

  • Inadequate check of TT depth after intubation (including restricted view at laryngoscopy)
  • Use of an uncut TT
  • Manipulation of the head or neck during patient positioning
  • The prone position
  • Any surgery involving the shared airway
