Question 2: What dose of suxamethonium is used?

Answer: The recommended adult dose is 1.5 mg/kg. After suxamethonium has been administered, the face mask should remain applied with the airway held open until fasciculations have ceased and the jaw is relaxed. Laryngoscopy can then be performed.
