Look out for the ETAT/ETAT+ priority signs ‘3TPR-MOB’:
- T - Tiny child: Any sick child< 2 years of
age
- T - Temperature: High fever >38.5
°
C
- T - Trauma or any urgent surgical conditions
- P - Pallor: Severe palmar pallor
- P - Poisoning
- P - Pain: severe
- R - Respiratory distress
- R - Restlessness, irritability, lethargy
- R - Referral: Urgent
- M - Malnutrition: visible severe wasting
- O - Oedema both feet
- B - Burns
Children with any of the ETAT priority signs should be
treated quickly, and before other children in the queue.
