Description

Measurement of blood pressure at regular intervals is part of the minimum standards of monitoring during anaesthesia, sedation and intensive care. Blood pressure can be measured either using non-invasive (indirect) or invasive (direct) methods. This session describes the non-invasive methods of measuring blood pressure, their clinical use and their limitations.
