This session leads you through seven case studies in which you see how the MEOWS chart helps you to identify a sick obstetric patient and start appropriate management.

To get the most from this session, you may find it helpful to have a copy of a MEOWS chart (Fig 1) readily available for reference:

• Either open the chart in another window, by selecting the Zoom option under Fig 1
• Or if you prefer a paper copy, click on the Resources link and print off the download version
