  • Respiratory rate 16/min
  • Heart rate 104 beats/min
  • Blood pressure 120/70 mmHg
  • CNS Alert
  • Temperature 37.1°C
  • Urine output 50 ml/hr

Question: What is his EWS, now?

Answer: His EWSS is 2.

He has improved. The serial measurements show the improvement the patient makes. The score may also demonstrate failure of treatment and trigger more medical attention.
