Neurotransmitters
There are the two main neurotransmitters in the ANS:
Acetylcholine (ACh)
Acetylcholine (cholinergic) is secreted by the following neurones:
- All preganglionic neurones
- All postganglionic parasympathic neurones
- Postganglionic sympathetic neurones that innervate sweat glands and skeletal muscle blood vessels
Noradrenaline (NA)
